Of course the surf was great da next day [the best swell of the 2 weeks] 6'-8' and uncrowded,with only 17 in Bobby's and about 10 in the other camps.I surfed the session with only 3 of us out for an hr, then about 10 others arrived to share the pumping blessings! I rode my DVS 7'8" which just ate up the big smooth faces..Harry |
With a last name of Fish, it was only natural that my brother and I were drawn to riding Fish. We picked these DVS boards up in 2007 in OZ and have taken them back to the states. My board is a 5'9'' Carbon Fiber Rocket Fish and my brother is a 5'6" Fish. Both boards absolutely shred and have surfed all along the east coast of OZ, NZed, Cali and our home......East Coast (of the US). This pic was taken in Hampton New Hampshire with snow on the ground and both air/water temps sub 30 degrees. |

There is no other board like my DVS 5í10î hydro hull fish. It is so fast, so loose and when you put it on a rail it engages hyperdrive. Thanks for the experience Dick. Just got a new balsa gun off the Flying Dutchman and would just like to thank him for a most amazing board!!!The paddling power of this board is just amazing and the feeling of riding a wooden board is just indescribable.Dick thanks again for the "AK 47"......Adrian Kerstens of Newport Beach |

7'8 performed so well in 4'-6',but when waves got to 8'-10'....went so well!!! I was able to paddle into jacking faces, sometimes air dropping into the pit, then flying, as i chased long- walled faces down da bay,carving big arcs. Stoked,can't wait for next g'land mission. After 35 years of surfing "the DVS experience" ,once again,YOUR board enabled me to successfully ride "real" waves. |
 A few shots of my 5'10" rocket fish carbon/epoxy over eps on a recent trip to the Mentawais. Dick customed this little gem for me and I have never looked back. Dicks boards have elevated my surfing and reinvigorated the stoke to a whole new level for me. Everyone should have a DVS fish in their quiver. ...Tristan Keeffe |
